I clicked in on this as I heard an ambulance rushing by my windows.

The flowers outlive us, we outlive the flowers. It's the circle and the cycle of life.

Lovely how this poem about flowers captures so much of what we experienced during the pandemic. I think of Emily Dickenson—“tell all the truth but tell it slant.”

Depths of night fragrance. Petals open mouth catch the sun. Release of spirit and sleep another day before the clouds of rust settle down to return to the ground.
