Lovely Anagha! I am curious how this one came about...

Thank you, Reena. I was thinking about the (often disliked) phrase ‘I hope this email finds you well,’ and how mundane and overused it is. I was wondering what it might look like to use a sentiment like that more honestly and intention. This poem was also inspired by ‘Dedications’ by Adrienne Rich, where she imagines the reader of the poem using an anaphora!

Ah. You found me on a Sunday afternoon, as I am, trying to climb out from under clouds of questions, clouds of worry, simple rays of sunny joy.

Aaaaaa how you blend the personal with the universal!! The images of the weary sun, the damp cold, and the sunken heat—each detail feels so real and yummmyyy. Treat to read as always!

Thanks for this beautiful poem.

Ever been in a room full of mirrors? Just sit there, and you'll discover a story in every reflection. I find myself searching for that one face, the one that has a smile hidden among the countless images.

Find yourself.
